ILUMIARA é um grupo formado em 2014 por Leandro César, Letícia Bertelli, Marcela Bertelli, Alexandre Gloor e Carlinhos Ferreira. O grupo mineiro alia a pesquisa à criação e interpretação musical de repertórios constituídos a partir da tradição oral, da criação espontânea e do cotidiano das expressões populares. Utiliza vozes, as rabecas brasileiras, violão, percussão, marimba e instrumentos construídos por Leandro César e Carlinhos Ferreira.

O primeiro trabalho do grupo ILUMIARA traz a expressão dos chamados cantos de trabalho, colhidos pelos próprios integrantes do grupo diretamente de comunidades situadas no interior de Minas Gerais ou a partir de fontes sonoras e textuais de outros pesquisadores como Mário de Andrade e Ayres da Mata Machado Filho. Durante 2015 e 2016 o Grupo ILUMIARA grava seu álbum homônimo, com arranjos e direção musical de Leandro César, e percorre todos os estados das cinco regiões do Brasil e distrito federal pela Mostra Sonora Brasil, “Sonoros Ofícios”, do SESC, totalizando mais de 120 concertos.

ILUMIARA is a musical group formed in 2014 by Leandro César, Letícia Bertelli, Marcela Bertelli, Alexandre Gloor and Carlinhos Ferreira. The group from Minas Gerais combines research with the creation and musical interpretation of repertoires based on oral tradition, spontaneous creation and expressions of the everyday life. ILUMIARA uses voices, rabeca, guitar, percussion, marimba and instruments built by Leandro César and Carlinhos Ferreira.

The first work of the ILUMIARA group presents the expression of the traditional work songs, gathered by the members of the group directly from communities located in the interior of Minas Gerais or from sound and textual sources of other researchers such as Mário de Andrade and Ayres da Mata Machado Son. During 2015 and 2016 the ILUMIARA Group recorded its album of the same name, with arrangements and musical direction by Leandro César, and toured all states in the five regions of Brazil and the federal district through the Sonora Brasil Exhibition, “Sonoros Ofício”, by SESC, totaling more than 120 concerts.
